Sher
Sher asked:

Is it probable a general reader can understand this book, or is a background in physics recommended?

Savoul Pelister General Reader will be able to understand, though basic knowledge in science will help.
Ville Kokko It's sort of written for the general reader, so mostly yes. However, it would take more than basic knowledge of physics to actually evaluate the claims based on physics. A background in philosophy or just really good reading comprehension skills are recommended for recognising whether or not what you're reading at any given moment actually makes sense.

(I'm answering this question for future potential readers.)
