I just stop what I am writing, and wait for the correct turn of the story to hit me. Sometimes it is within hours, sometimes days. I've found out that when I try to force it, nothing good comes out. I have to wait for the next great twist of plot to come to mind, but it always does, and it's like a bulb flashing to light.
