Do you enjoy reading as a hobby in your free (HA!) time? If so, what sorts of books do you prefer? In my experience, most very good writers are also avid readers, but I have heard of a few who seem to be mostly concerned with the mechanics of writing exclusively.

I read all of the time, no matter what else I'm doing. I read just about anything, so long as it's well-written and has engaging characters--though probably I read more crime/mystery novels than any other major genre.
