Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Mandy Fender Defier was an idea that popped into my head about two years ago. I wanted there to be an entertaining book with action and adventure, but still true to faith and believing in something more than just ourselves.

I saw Katniss Everdeen fight for family and Tris Prior fight for freedom. I wanted a strong female character to fight for faith, and so Lennox Winters of Defier was born.
