I just finish this book and I am still deciding if I liked it or not; I have a question about what happened between Nola and Chief Pratt;after Nola went to his office and did what she did; she told him “Now you are a criminal” but then the author never explains what was that all about, why she did that? (or maybe I don’t remember that part but I even went back a few chapters but I couldn’t find it)

Hi, It is explained in the book.

So Nola is doing a lot of things to protect Harry, she poses nude to Luther so Stern would allow Harry to stay in Goose Cove without paying rent. There's a part where Robert Quinn tells Nola that her wife showed chief Pratt the note that Harry wrote about her(Nola) after her attempted suicide. Nola, in order for chief Pratt to stay quiet gives him the "you know what" that way he's now a criminal because she's a minor and now Chief Pratt will stay quiet regarding Harry's note. (less)
