What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Cornelia Funke Always have a notebook with you. And a pen to write both on paper and skin ( in case you forget the paper) the best ideas come at the wrong time and at the wrong place. And they need to be caught in writing or they'll never show up again.

Hi Cornelia, another question. I always liked the idea of Fenoglio the writer as a character in the book, and then how we go into his written world - I love Chapter 13 of Inkspell when we see his viewpoint of this. Were you at all inspired by any books that do a similar thing, such as a writer of the world the book is set in, like Melquíades in 100 Years Of Solitude or anything else similar to that?

I'm not sure I have a question at the moment? I have just finished Inkspell and am preparing myself for Inkdeath. I just wanted to thank you for giving me this world. I needed it so badly. I'm just like Elinor right now (and in my obsession with books) and I can only wish that someone someday will drag me into a story. Until then I will go on reading and re reading those that I hold dear in my heart.

I just finished "The Golden Yarn (Heartless)". It seems you just left the fates of the characters of Will and Clara just hanging. What happened to them? Please tell me there will be a follow-up book. Seems there is more to tell about Jacob and Will's mother, also. Thank you.
