Hi Kasie! As an aspiring writer, I wanted to know how you get your story ideas and how you put the story together (do you write the whole story first or do you start writing parts, like the middle, end, or beginning, first?). Thank-you!
Kasie West
I write sequentially. From beginning to end.....usually. Ha. Sometimes there's a scene in the middle or a couple chapters up that's dying to be written so I'll let myself jump ahead and write that one and then go back. Or sometimes I get stuck so I'll let myself jump to the next part of the story that I know and then go back and fill it in later. And sometimes I realize I don't need to fill anything in and that's probably why I was stuck. As for ideas, I get them everywhere. Sometimes I'm inspired by things I see (like a porcelain doll store) or a movie I've watched (like Sliding Doors) or a plot device I love (like people pretending to be boyfriend/girlfriend until they actually fall in love for real). I make sure that I spend at least half my time away from my computer because I'll tell you where I don't get ideas from: staring at a blinking cursor on a blank word document. Good luck with your writing! :)

I read OTF and TDBU in one sitting and I was absolutely hooked! They were so cute and so easy to read. And I'm sure you get this a lot but would you please think of writing a sequel for TDBU? Or at least just a novella, I would love to know more about Caymen's family and her father especially. And Matthew too. Sorry for bothering, and you're definitely on my auto-buy list of authors. Thank you! Love from Morocco <3
