asked:
How to read "How to Read a Book"? It's so boring and dry. I've started reading this like 3 month ago and I haven't made it past part II yet. I want to read it so that I can get through other books I've abandoned like "The Intelligent Investor". But I can't get through this book even!

Yep, what Jean-Daniel says: you need to do level 2 reading: inspectional (time-limited skimming). Or just put it aside in favour of something else.

I actually went the other way around. I'm skimming through the book (what they call superficial reading) taking what I feel is relevant and interesting to apply it to my reading.
