It is my hope to eventually put out a companion book to the Fate series that answers this question and others that readers have had about the characters. But let's just say that Jonah had reasons for doing what he did at the end of A Matter of Forever, and he's considered to be the best, most nuanced Emotional alive. ;)
As for your second question, the best advice I can give anyone is to simply write--and to write often. If you have writer's block on a certain piece, write something new just to get the juices flowing. Join a critique group or find some critique partners that will be honest with you about your work and be willing to learn how to shape and better your writing. That said, find a style that works for you. <3
