(Potential spoiler) Does this book include a character who might be considered a heroine? I know I ask this about almost every book I'm curious about (unless, of course, the reviews and synopsis make it obvious), because I like capable and sympathetic heroines in my sci-fi and fantasy.

That said, the two ladies, Jamie and Sasha (and her other self) are definitely crucial to the plot!(less)
