Goodreads asked Anne Zeiser:

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Anne Zeiser I've been "playing" actively in transmedia for 15 years, though it wasn't called that back in the day. I've worked in media and entertainment most of my professional life and started adding media platforms to deliver more elements of editorial and story AND to market the projects to reach audiences. Experimenting with media platforms revealed a whole new host of possibilities, particularly how an integrated content strategy can create immersive, participatory experiences for audiences. Then audiences become co-producers, co-distributors, and co-marketers of your project. Plus, it's fun to see what audiences come up with! (That's a big part of what I do now at my media company).

The specific inspiration for this book came from creating a new course on Transmedia Development for Emerson College's Visual and Media Arts department in 2012 (where I'm a sometimes adjunct professor). It was engaging with these brilliant and creative young minds that pushed me to write this book to share further and connect with more people interested in media and entertainment content creation and content marketing.

So, I'm interested in other media makers and media marketers thoughts on the book and related subjects.
