Mary E. Pearson There are so many. First of all, every author I ever read helped prepare me in some way. There is a saying that "you must read a thousand books before you can write one," and I think this is very true. So cheers to all the authors whose books I read from the time I was a child, all the way through my adult years. But when I actually began writing for publication, there were authors who gave me wonderful advice, critiques, and support to help me craft stories--Judy Enderle, Jill Rubalcaba, Amanda Jenkins, Nancy Werlin, Melissa Wyatt, Marlene Perez, Gail Giles are among them--and so many more! I am very grateful for all of their writerly wisdom!
