Hi! I just want to say I really loved Chase The Dark, I just finished it today and holy crap what a ride :D I love Ash & Lyre, Lyre is awesome. I already bought the next two books so i'm ready to go! Ok, so...I might have skipped over this part or something but I was really confused( I get confused a lot....) Is Pipers mom a haemon? I remember reading about how female haemons die?

Annette Marie Yes, Piper's mom is a haemon. Regular female haemons (daemon parent, human parent) don't die in childhood. However, a female haemon born to two haemon parents (human/daemon parent, human/daemon parent) normally die in childhood because they inherit two kinds of magic, which is lethal.
