Dawn asked Denise A. Agnew:

On average how long does it take to publish a book from that first idea to holding the physical book in hand?(Sorry if its to hard to answer)!

Denise A. Agnew Hi Dawn! This is a really complex question. :) It depends on so many factors. In my case I have quite a few publishers and each one has a totally different schedule for how they do things. As an example...I wrote a novella this spring that was a tag on to my Wasteland Trilogy and that story comes out in September. So that went fast. But I have written stories where a different publisher took a year and a half to publish it and that was after it took me five months to write the book. If it is self publishing it can vary depending on how long it takes me to write a story, then have an editor go through it, then revisions, hiring a cover artist, hiring someone to format the book, uploading the book, etc. A huge variety of possibilities in there. So you can see the answer is...it depends. :) I'm one of those authors who doesn't get too tied up in knots about how long it takes one way or the other to get a book out. Thanks for the question Dawn. :)
