Aníbal M. asked Nadia Hashimi:

How hard was to write The Pearl that Broke It's Shell? I mean, emotionally. I felt so many things while I read it... It was deeply touching! I have to thank you, for writing something so beautiful. Between all the pain, light made it's way in the road.

Nadia Hashimi I'm so glad to hear you saw light between the difficult pages. Afghanistan is a land of hope and despair and I wanted PEARL to reflect that dichotomy. It was difficult to write but far more difficult for me to read once it was complete. By then, I had come to know the characters as people and ached for their hardships because I know their stories are so sadly close to reality for some people.

Thank you for reading!
