How hard was to write The Pearl that Broke It's Shell? I mean, emotionally. I felt so many things while I read it... It was deeply touching! I have to thank you, for writing something so beautiful. Between all the pain, light made it's way in the road.

I'm so glad to hear you saw light between the difficult pages. Afghanistan is a land of hope and despair and I wanted PEARL to reflect that dichotomy. It was difficult to write but far more difficult for me to read once it was complete. By then, I had come to know the characters as people and ached for their hardships because I know their stories are so sadly close to reality for some people.
Thank you for reading!

Nadia, Our church book group met this week to discuss The Pearl that Broke Its Shell. We all loved the characters, story line and learning about the culture. We too would like to know what happens to Rahima and hope for a sequel. One of our members was very worried about Badriya, Abdul Kahliq's first wife, and what might have happened to her when she returned home from Kabul without Rahima. Can you answer?

Not a question...just a comment. Sparks like Stars is the 1st book I’ve read by yourself. It is so well written and the most interesting book I’ve read in a year or more. Every page NOT to be skimmed! Can all of your books be as interesting?! I’m looking forward to reading your other titles. Thanks to Goodreads I came upon it.

Hi Nadia, my mother & I recently finished When the Moon is Low & thoroughly enjoyed it, but it BEGS a sequel! My mother finished it late at night & immediately went to Amazon to download the "sequel" only to discover there wasn't one! I'm sure you are asked often, but would you consider writing a sequel to tie up their stories? We look forward to reading your other novels. You have a lot of talent -- keep writing!
