Goodreads asked Jason Medina:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Jason Medina If you get an idea, write it down. Even if you don't get back to that idea for several years, you know it's already written down. You can always add to it later and when you are ready to work on it, at least you won't be starting from scratch. By then you might have a plot and a few story elements. At times, I use the Word application on my cellphone and write out parts of my books, as I think of them. Later I'll email it to myself and edit it on my computer. Don't let any ideas go to waste.
