Nidhi Bhatt Actually the holes are an important part of Arab and Moghul Architecture as the females are to be kept in veils. the windows from which female members of the royal families used to see outside the Royal Palaces used to have all these intricately carved designs through which they could view everything going on outside. They are called "Jarukha" in Hindi language. The people outside could not see inside the Palace or if there is anyone standing on the other side of the window. :)

The cover just depicts the Main Character behing such window. Such Jarukhas are really famous in Moghul Palaces in India.

I hope this helps... :D
Fiona That's trypophobia, just take off the dust jacket and read the book, its really good!!
Catherine The cover didn't bother me, but then I looked up trypophobia and the images that Google brought up...oh dang. My skin is crawling so bad aaah
Stacy Whoever designed the cover didn't realize that people like us would steer clear of it at a bookstore.
Aadivah It gets better if you just look at it for a while, well I did and the holes don't affect me anymore. It also helps to just think of it for what it is: a picture, an inanimate object.
Wing I feel the same way! The cover just gives me the creep... I do believe that I have trypophobia though.
Author-ization That;'s called trypaphobia honey: a fear of holes or small clusters of tiny holes. You can check out the paperback that just features Sharzhad without the orange hole-y cover!
I really hope that helps you experience reading this book without fearing the cover! :D
