I love your perspective in your books. I was wondering what made you write from a dogs point of view in the first place? What inspired you to do so?

When my girlfriend's dog passed away, I wanted to tell her a story that would help her through her grief. A Dog's Purpose emerged for that reason, and telling it from the dog's perspective just seemed like the right thing to do, the right way to convey the message.
