When I was first looking into this book I saw a question. It said, "If this were a movie what would it be rated?" You said in your answer, "...There is no language, some mild kissing, but there a few fight scenes that could be considered violent..." So I when I read it I was surprised at the fact that the d-word was used multiple times. Do you not consider that to be language?

Becky Wallace What a great question! Thank you for asking! The publishing world does not consider the d-word to be language...specifically School Library Journal and Voya which both said my book has "no language." I believe "hell" is another word that they don't count.

In my personal life, I try to use both of those words as little as possible.
