What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Ruth Edgett The best thing about being a writer is being able to go anywhere, do anything whenever I want--all in my head. If a book or story doesn't exist that deals with the subject I want to explore, I can create it. I love watching my stories unfold on the screen or the page, and--just like a reader--I love being excited about what's going to happen next. The best thing is when characters take on lives of their own, when events lead me down their own unknown paths. That's the joy of writing!
