Goodreads asked Benjamin VanLocke:

If you could travel to any fictional book world, where would you go and what would you do there?

Benjamin VanLocke If I could travel to any fictional book world, I would journey to Middle-earth, created by J.R.R. Tolkien. The depth and richness of this world are unparalleled. I’d spend my days exploring the Shire, enjoying the simple joys of Hobbit life—good food, hearty laughter, and the beauty of rolling green hills.

From there, I’d venture to Rivendell to marvel at the wisdom and serenity of the Elves and perhaps seek counsel from Elrond himself. Of course, I’d also be tempted to join the Fellowship, even for a brief moment, to experience the courage and camaraderie that defines their journey.

Middle-earth is a place where courage, loyalty, and hope are tested—and where even the smallest person can change the course of the future. It’s a world that reminds me why I love storytelling and the power it holds to inspire.

What about you? Which fictional world would you explore, and why?
