Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Eirik Moe Dahll-Larssøn Well, there's these mirrors in our bathroom. They're on doors, so you can turn them to face each other. When you do, you get this odd infinite hallway-effect, where at the end of it, it just dissolves into some weird creepy-looking mist. So while I was brushing my teeth one day, I turned the mirrors and stared into that hallway for a while. And I wondered what was in there. Long story short: that became the idea for a kind of 'modern alchemy'. The city came later.
