Hey back...:-)...and no. I try my best (outside the Rock Chick books/Fantasyland/Three books which really should be read as a series) to make each book standalone. That said, I think I have varying degrees of success with this.
Of course, any series is best enjoyed reading the whole of it and doing that in order. So reading OWN THE WIND and FIRE INSIDE (and indeed MOTORCYCLE MAN from the Dream Man series) prior to reading RIDE STEADY I think would make the experience better.
But "need" - no. I hope that just getting Joker and Carissa would be enjoyable!

Can i ask you about 'The Burg'? i live in the uk, south wales and i have googled the burg, colorado mountain and denver to get an idea of the geographical areas as your books often cross over. Is the burg a general area like a county or a specific spot? (if you know what i mean) on google it seems hard to pin point where it is as the areas with the burg have other names with them ? many thanks.

Hi Kristen! Like the other 154 people who have sent you a question, I have got to say that your writing is "the shit". I started with "Wild Man" and have totally become addicted! Each series just grabs you and drags you in, and girl, I am all in! Just read "The Will" and can't wait for Mickey's story, then Coert's maybe...just sayin'. Are you going back to your Mountain Men anytime?

I like the fact that your characters are more mature and in their early 40's but I was wondering if you would consider writing a book based on YA genre? You have already written a bit in The Burg series At Peace, Golden Trail, Games Of The Heart (Fin and Reesee so cute) and I loved it. Thank you <3
