As a person who used to closed off the world out of anxiety, I could tell sometimes it doesn't really matter why you felt that way, it's the recovery that matters. Unless in the counselling sessions. Like it's kinda scar you more to remembering those moments. I thought the author just told us she was bullied, the details didn't matter

i know i felt the same way. it was more about her journey recovering but we never really found out what happened...
