Is there any romance or hints of romance in this series? Not like full of bed play but at least kissing and sly looks etc.

Yes. The whole series is multi-threaded, and romance is one of the threads - I guess it takes somewhere between 5 and 10%. It's more at a flirting level in the prequel (Raw Deal) and book 1 (Sleight of Hand), but it progresses from there. When it occurs, the sex is explicit (you know what's going on) without being graphic (I don't describe it in detail).
