Leni Linnéa
Leni Linnéa asked:

Can I read this when I am 17 years old? I mean, I know I can, but I am afraid it will be to "childish". Will I still be able to enjoy it at my age?

Sarah I'm 16 and I loved the series. To be honest, I've never really thought the series was that childish and I can easily laugh at Percy's jokes and narrative.
Marie Marmillod I'll admit that there is a little childish side to the first books but trust me I'm 18 and I still enjoy it. As the series advances it just gets better and better
Megan Gable Ok look I'm only 11 and I loved this book!!!! Yes I know what your thinking " oh she's 11 she's absolutely going to love this book". Please people I may only be 11 but that doesn't mean anything I Will read these books until I'm 31. Maybe. I'm not sure. But I recommend this book to EVERYONE.
Becci Absolutely read it. I am quite a bit past 17 and I read these every year. Every single book. Yes, they can be a little childish in places, but what do you expect when the lead characters are 11-15? :D
I heartily recommend the whole Riordan Myth collection to absolutely everyone - male, female, other, old, young or in between.
Bans Shan I am waaay past my teens & I enjoyed it. It's the fact that the tid bits of Greek Mythology are so well linked through these fun-engaging stories, that makes it unique. And the writing's just a pleasure.
Restry Hastari you definitely should. I'm sure you would enjoy the story :)
Joe G I think it’ll be fine. Try some of the other ones too, such as Trials of Apollo, Magnus Chase, and other ones where most of the characters are older.
OtterGirl25 Definitely! The only things I’d say is childish is Percys sarcasm towards every thing and maybe Tyson. But it’s a great series, I’m rereading it currently. Honestly, I think adults could enjoy this book so late teens can too!

Lily People of all ages have read this book. I personally read the first book, when i was eight, with my dad(40 somethin'). In the beginning, he is only 12, so it may seem a bit childish. But the book is great. ENJOY!!!!!
Max You should realy read the books.
Adeline Wright The books are for all ages. My 9 year old brother, my 12 year old friend, me (13 years old), and my 43 year old mom are reading the series. READ THEM ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Emma H i’m 21 and just started reading them - and i love them!!
Olivia Nash Y e s!!! the series actually has a lot of Adult/older kid humor in it that went way over my head the first time reading it. I firmly believe that its rated a "Childs book" Because there's not any written language or Sex. its completely appropriate for all ages! I love this book, and would have really missed out if I didn't read it.
Daphne The first books are a little bit childish, but you will still LOOOVVVVE them!!!!
Lily The only part that struck me as a bit “childish” is in the second book (I think) when they go to a water dam and start saying they want to use the dam bathroom, or the dam water fountain. They laughed a bit to hard at it, but otherwise amazing series. Edit: In the second book they did use the r slur once which was a bit annoying bc it wasn’t necessary and could have gone without it.
