Hello! I am new to this group and your work and I just wanted to know....What is your favorite motivational phrase?

David Estes Hi Sonya! Thanks so much for checking out my books and for your question :) I'm going to sort of cheat and use my all-time favorite book quote, which doubles as a motivational phrase. It's said by Gandalf to Frodo in The Fellowship of the Ring by JRR Tolkien:

"'It's a dangerous business, Frodo, going out of your door,' he used to say. 'You step into the Road, and if you don't keep your feet, there is no knowing where you might be swept off to.'”

That's what life is all about, getting up, getting out, taking risks...really living, not just existing. Five years ago I took a risk by writing and publishing my first book. 18 months after that I took another risk by quitting my day job to become a fulltime author. I stepped onto the Road and it took me to places I never knew existed!
