What did you do before you became a fulltime writer?

Victoria Schwab I was a university student! I'd been writing since I was about 10, but didn't try my hand at novels until I got to college. I wrote my first attempt as a sophomore, and then in my senior year I wrote THE NEAR WITCH, and that sold the fall after I graduated college (I had given myself until Labor Day to decide what the next chapter of my life would look like, and it sold on 9/2, so that was lucky). It hasn't always been easy, but I've been making my way as an author ever since!
