Hello Mark. First of all, thank you for the work you do. There was a question about the covers of the books but I need to ask, because I currently work with the team who will produce the Prince of Thorns in Georgian language. What kind of covers do you prefer, which cover (original or foreign is your favorite) and how do you feel about artists illustrating the leading characters on the front jackets? Thanks

Thanks for replying to my last question but I also wanted to ask you where the idea for such a landscape and place came from? I understand that Jorg is based off Alex from Clockwork Orange (Which I read after you mentioned, I can see some similarities) but I wanted to know where the Broken Empire was inspired from.

Hi Mark, You've said before that you don't have a plot outline in your head before you start writing. I was fascinated by the scenes in Red Sister that were set in the future which has taken the characters development in an unexpected direction. Did you have an idea of how they would get there, or did you write these scenes more as a challenge, so that you would have to figure it out?
