How do you get inspired to write?

Hilary Dartt My favorite source of inspiration came in the form of a real-life good samaritan named Rowdy who stopped to help me after someone rear-ended me at an intersection. He was very good-looking, and when he saw all my kids in the car he said, "Are these all YOUR kids?" Haha. I find inspiration everywhere - from people whose stories I imagine when I see them in public to things I imagine myself or my friends doing in situations I hear about.
