There are only two stories about Doctor Who and Sherlock (one respectively), and as someone who has never seen a single instalment of Doctor Who, and who hasn't read the original Sherlock Holmes book series (I watched the BBC show) I didn't have any problem understanding or enjoying the stories! Neil Gaiman makes them super accessible and understandable. (less)
