Congratulations on a wonderful book. My debut novel: White is the coldest colour is at number two in the Amazon Kindle eBooks > Crime, Thriller & Mystery > Crime Fiction > British & Irish > Welsh category for several weeks, but with yours selling so brilliantly, I can't see it reaching # 1. My book draws on my career as a police officer and child protection social worker. Has your police career informed your writing?

Hi John
Congratulations on your debut novel - sounds like it's doing really well.
My police career has certainly informed my writing, although I do research procedure, as things change so quickly. A police background brings you into contact with so many people that it's brilliant training for writing!

Hi! So I just want you to know that as a person who has spent the last 6 years growing up in hospitals, I've been so completely floored by how accurate your writing in "After the End" has been. I just recently got out of a bone marrow transplant and have spent lots of time in the ICU, and reading this story has been touching. What was the inspiration for the setting? How did you manage to get hospital life right?

Hi, Really enjoyed your book, though am so against violence of any sort, and the ending makes me think he got away with all the abuse and murders of both his children. Granted he couldn't be with Jennifer who he reckons is the love of his life so that could be his "punishment", but it does not fit the crimes, nor goes anywhere near any sort of justice. I like seeing justice, even if only in stories and films. 1 more?
