If you wait for inspiration, you'll never write anything. Inspiration does help - the ideas have to come from somewhere, don't they? - but it's hard work that gets any project finished. You have to be able to write when you're not inspired, as well as when you are. It may not be pleasant, and you may wind up cutting what you've written, but get the words down. Get in the habit.
