Goodreads asked Joseph LoGuidice:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Joseph LoGuidice Work your tail off, and treat your writing like it's your only profession even if it isn't. I have a friend who loves literature, and she once told me that a person isn't a writer until he is paid. She couldn't have been more wrong, and thank heavens I recognized that way back when. You're a writer in your heart and mind, but don't romanticize too much. Your ideas won't add up to a hill of beans until you utilize that blinking cursor.
