It certainly doesn't take center-stage for most of the book but the romance that is there is very true-to-life. I've never been so excited about one event and then so heart-broken over the next. So, while it is not the focus, it is there and it is very real which is refreshing compared to the millions of books where love just seems so easy or fake or sex-driven.(less)
