Cheese145 I assert a similar opinion to Alondra.

The juxtaposition between the luxury of the government life, shown through senator Zapanta, and the poor life of Raphael, was quite brilliant and shows the difference between developed and third-world countries. This idea was interwoven through the novel, and it's what made me like it.
alondra I feel that he may have wanted to open the reader or audience's eyes by showing them the type of situations that occur in countries like these, and how they compare to the government and so-called "luxury"of other, more developed countries.
