Goodreads asked Kevin O'Brien:

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Kevin O'Brien I read that they filmed IN COLD BLOOD in all the actual locations in Kansas (including the murder house) were the crimes occurred, and I wondered what that was like for the actors and crew. So--I invented a murder in Seattle of a famous actress in 1970 (some Sharon Tate influence here) and set the story today with a film company shooting at all the real locales. It seems the set is cursed, because people involved on the film shoot start dying. My heroine works in a food truck catering the production. I had a fun time writing this, because I got to combine my love for movies, The Food Network, and flashed back to 1970. NO ONE NEEDS TO KNOW hits bookstores and ebook venues on July 28th. I hope you'll check it out.
