Paul Boudreau asked Paul R. Boudreau:

Considering Christianity as a route to reach higher consciousness: During the conception and maturation of this book did it ever strike YOU as an seeker of knowledge that perhaps in some cases the turning relinquishing of ultimate control of our lives to a supreme being can in actuality be a way for some to absolve themselves of their own responsibility to find what truly wakes them up?

Paul R. Boudreau Absolutely! The entry requirements for Christianity were deliberately set low. With a few stated intentions and a baptism, everyone and anyone could become a Christian. It is not for everyone to appreciate their responsibility to themselves for being alive and awake. For those who just want a bit of insurance it provides a useful function. For anyone who experiences life at higher levels it provides many seeds of what is possible in life with work, effort and awareness. But it is one thing to appreciate a connection with something higher in us. It is another to imagine that that higher will grow and develop without nurturing.
