Can you clarify if Joe is the boy Mark met at McDonald''s when his apartment blew up and the boy was sketching something which Mark took?

Tinnean Yes, Joe is the same boy, although he goes through quite a few name changes between the time Mark first meets him and when he turns up in Complications By the Number, which should be book 4.
