Amy Plum My first book was a comedic memoir, and it wasn't published. So yes...lots of rejections with that one. When I wrote DIE FOR ME, though, it was scooped up by HarperTeen right away! :) I do not have another job, besides raising my 2 kids. A rough draft of a YA novel can take 3-5 months. I don't write every day, but I wish I did. Thanks for your questions, Sarah!
