Which is why this one was my next choice. It's the first a bunch books that deal with Vimes and the Watch. Though, having read both Night Watch and Thud!, which take place later than Guards! Guards!, I don't feel like I've missed anything that detracted from my enjoyment of the "later" books.(less)
