Do you think that the fact that Kim's mother is mentally ill makes it harder for Kim to deal with her past and what happened to her brother? Would it be easier if she had simply been evil?

Angela Marsons Hi Angela, great question. Yes, I think it does make it harder for Kim to deal with. She would like to think that her mother is just plain evil but the fact that she is mentally ill means that in some ways she was not responsible for her actions. Something she will have to face at some stage. Understanding brings empathy and in some cases forgiveness but I'm not sure Kim would ever go that far.
