Patti asked Cassandra Gannon:

I agree I am looking forward to the cute little witch getting her own love interest. I love all the books and am looking forward to lots more great adventures from the former WUB Club members. Thanks for keeping us entertained, your and your sister's books are always so fun to read! Can you share a few more details on the upcoming books, without giving too much away?

Cassandra Gannon (Elizabeth Gannon writes:) Cassie is traveling right now and can't use her internet, so I’ll answer this question, if that’s okay.

Cassie is currently writing Esmerelda’s book, but I don’t know anything about it. She isn’t ready to share details on it, even with me. :) I know she’s written several different versions of it though (complete with different plots, heroes and settings), trying to perfect it. I asked her about it this morning, and she says she’s “really going to work on it this summer.” So, hopefully you and I will both know more about it soon. :)

She’s writing the next book in her Elemental Phases series, but I think she’s stuck on whether she should make it Raiden or Zakk’s book. She goes back and forth on the question and I don’t think she wants to get too far into one or the other before she decides.

She told me this morning that she’s writing a “ghost romance novel,” which was news to me. That’s the first I’ve heard of it. I asked for details for you, but she said: “Umm… I don’t really have any.”

Are you noticing a pattern here? :)

She’s writing a caveman book and has just about finished it several times… before ripping out the second half and starting over. She said both times that it just wasn’t “Caveman-y enough” and that “…if I bought a book about a caveman, I’d want him to be really caveman-y.” Which I suppose means something to my sister, but I can only guess what. Still, you should feel proud, as that’s the most information I’ve been able to get out of her about that project since 1997, when she was calling up state parks in California at 7AM to ask about their geography, and when questioned about it, told me in passing that the antagonist of the book would be the half-brother of the antagonist of the stories she used to write as a little girl. My guess is that the book has changed since then though, which is a shame, because I always liked “Xander Prince, the chain-smoking murderous lunatic” and his weird obsession with that unpublished series’ heroine. He was funny. I would have liked to meet his brother. I have no idea why he would be a caveman, but whatever. I’m sure Cassie could have made it work. :)

I (Lizzy), am currently finishing up a fairytale romance based on the brave little tailor. It’s set in the Snow Queen’s fairytale world, so it’ll end up being like Cassie’s Kinda Fairytale series, but mixed with a Game of Thrones kind of feel as the various fairytale kingdoms go to war. It doesn’t have a title at the moment, but I hope to complete it sometime this summer.

I’m still working on Oz’s book in my Consortium of Chaos series. It will follow Oz and Natalie as they try to stop Mercygiver and prevent the Agletarians from wiping out the C of C. I don’t have an ETA on when it might be finished. It’s one of those books where I can write 3 chapters in a single day and then not write anything for 6 months. It’s weird. It's title at the moment is: "Not Currently Evil."

I have several other books in various stages of development, but nothing close enough to completion to really announce yet.
