Do you ever consult with teens/young adults before or while writing your books for their opinions or feedback? How do you ensure that your books are something that they can relate to?

Laurie Halse Anderson Staying relevant is always a concern. It helps that I have a painfully clear memory of my own teen years, that I raised four kids, and that I've talked to more than a million teens in the past 15 years. Social media is a huge help, too.
