What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Kathleen Long My advice for aspiring writers is simple: Never give up. I watched an interview with Mike Meyers shortly before I sold my first book, at a time when I was ready to quit. The interviewer asked him what his secret to success was, and he simply replied, "I never quit." Wow. His words resonated with me, and I doubled up on my efforts to query agents and publishers. What happened? Shortly after I decided to dig in my heels, I sold three books in two genres and signed with my first choice agent. Dreams really do come true...as long as you don't give up.
