Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Maria Mitchell The "Author Caught the Ghost" was inspired by learning about some emotional problems a friend has and how she seems to struggle with life. She has a "stabilizing factor" friend who supported her until she found her own life being eroded by the constant emotional chaos. The protagonist finally found courage to care about herself enough to realize she could not "fix" another person.
It is a story about personal courage.
