When you work on a chapter or write anything in particular, do you create an outline before hand?

Not generally. Every writer works differently, but for me, I've found that the more I pre-plan, the more I suck the life out of the story. I do SOME planning, but more on a "whole book" level, meaning I generally know my ending and several major turning points before I get started. But I don't outline the finer details of how all of that will be accomplished, especially on such a specific level, like chapter by chapter. I save that for revision, when I'm trying to make sure each chapter is as strong as possible, once I've already let the story unfold.

Does it bother you when people bring, say, all 8 books that you've written for you to sign at a book signing? I really want to bring all 5 KEEPER books and the LTSF trilogy for you to sign at an upcoming event, but is that too much for you to sign for one person? I just don't want to be a nuisance with the number of books I bring....
