However, Peeta is more compassionate and understands Katniss better than Gale, who was driven by hatred for the Capitol. So I root for him.
Still, Katniss is strong and independent, and 'she don't need no man', which is why I'm on her side. It's actually really sad, how 'The Hunger Games' is a powerful political story about survival and sacrifices, and most fans are just into the series for the love triangle.
