A Court of Mist and Fury (A Court of Thorns and Roses, #2):
THE BIGGEST ISSUE HERE IS: WHAT DID RHYSAND SAW IN FEYRE THAT MADE HIM 'RIGID AND ACTUALLY STUMBLE"? ANY THEORIES?

This answer contains spoilers…
(view spoiler)[I was thinking that at the end of the book when Rhys looked so shocked that it is because she is maybe pregnant? However I think the baby may be only half fae because they had sex when she was a human, so I mean it's possible. Plus if she got pregnant from sex as a high fae he wouldn't have instantly noticed it. Whereas if it was from when she was a human it would make sense for him to have only just noticed it. Also I think Rhys kinda likes her now, so would want to protect her (and her baby). This baby, if only half fae, would also need protecting from the dangers of prythian (and other faeries) because they hate humans - just think what they would do to a half-human-half-faerie baby! Which ties in with that pic on Sarah's pinterest (http://pinterest.com/pin/AxtXSgAQAG0D...) showing Rhys protecting the baby? Tying in with the theory about the baby being very powerful, which I think could be possible due to the fact that it would be a child of both worlds.
Also I think it could also be that she's showing signs of becoming a high lord/being really powerful due to the fact that she was brought back to life by ALL of the HIGH LORDS Then IF she is pregnant the baby would have died when she died and also been brought back to life meaning that it would also be immensely powerful as well. Yet IF this caused her to maybe become a high lord than would it not have done that to the baby too, IF she was pregnant? Then the baby would have be the son/daughter of 2 high lords and also be a high lord in it's own right, making it the most powerful baby ever!
Those are just my theories. I'm really not on board with the whole love triangle idea though because it would make the whole first book obsolete. I've been hearing the theories that Tamlin was her human lover but Rhys is now her true mate??? And as much as I love Rhys I really hope this isn't the case.
Edit - MORE OF MY THEORIES
Feyre Theories
The thing is Feyre's heart is still HUMAN, therefore I think she still loves her HUMAN love Tamlin.
Anyway, so the title release of ACOTAR2 (officialy A Court Of Mist And Fury - I love it already) got me thinking. We all know that the book is going to be a Hades and Persephone retelling, but the fact that the word 'fury' is in the title got me thinking about furies, or rather erinyes in Greek mythology. Now i know it is probably nothing but Sarah never does anything for a reason, and i couldn't stop thinking about it, so naturally i went and did LOTS of research.
The whole idea of the Hades and Persephone retelling has a lot of people going "Oh my God! Feyre and Rhys, yes!". I agree that the Hades figure in the novel will almost certainly be Rhys. So naturally it would make sense that the Persephone figure is Feyre. I admit, the background is kinda there, considering she's basically the Lady of the Spring court now. However I don't buy it! Here's why:
-Sarah is not the kind of author to give everything about the book away prior to the release. She loves to ramp up the suspense to keep us on the edge of our seats.
-Rhys and Feyre have also met before, and he didn't fall in love with her as soon as he saw her. Yes, I know this is a retelling, and they have a similar situation going on with the deal that they made, but he didn't trick her - he told her she would have to spend time at the night court.
-Feyre (although she was at the spring court for half of ACOTAR) has never really been 'surrounded' by nature. She marveled at the beauty of the spring court, took walks round the garden, but she had never been the sort of girl to go out flower picking. She was a hunter, who took care of her family, and didn't mind if she got a little dirty in the process. In my opinion, she just doesn't have the innocence of Persephone's character. For example, on Sarah's pinterest board for ACOTAR nearly all of Feyre's pics are surrounded by darkness, death, blood, and destruction. Suck as: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/2468536... and https://www.pinterest.com/pin/2468536...
-Also I think Elain is the Persephone figure in the retelling.
Yes, you read that right Elain. I will talk about why later, but first I want to talk about my Feyre theories.
So I now have another two theories about Feyre. The first is that I think she could be a Fury. Earlier on, I remarked on how I think she could now posses all the powers of the seven High Lords. This would work alongside the fury theory, as furies possessed all of the powers of the Greek Gods. This would also satisfy the theory that she's now immensely powerful - which could have been what got Rhys worried. Feyre has also never agreed with the death of others, which really came to light when she held they dying faeries hand and stayed with him in ACOTAR. Also I thought that the reason Rhys 'stumbled' could be that she was starting to show signs of becoming a high lord - which lets be honest, isn't an unreasonable theory. Well if we take into account that High Lords can shape shift, could the fury be her other form? There was this pic on Sarah's pinterest: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/2468536... - portraying Feyre's inner beast??? I'm not sure. However a predominant theme on Sarah's pinterest is Feyre with wings:
https://www.pinterest.com/pin/2468536...
https://www.pinterest.com/pin/2468536...
https://www.pinterest.com/pin/2468536...
https://www.pinterest.com/pin/2468536...
Can you guess who else have wings?Furies. Also sometimes her wings have blood dripping off them? I think in ACOMAF Feyre may be going down a dark path, especially since she has the guilt of the Faeries she murdered on her mind. Plus if she is a fury she's gonna make people pay for their crimes. As well as this, the Furies where the servants of Hades and Persephone. Is she not now bound to Rhys as a 'servant' because of their deal?
My other theory is not something that I think is as likely to be true, but it stemmed from something I saw on Sarah's pinterest about the Rusalki:
https://www.pinterest.com/pin/2468536... (It's really creepy)
Do the people in the pic not look like Tam and Feyre?
It's a Russian myth about a dangerous, undead, unclean spirit. However in some myths they are associated/are MERMAIDS!!! Which would explain all of the mermaid type pictures on Sarah's pinterest. Anyway, A Rusalka is someone who was violently murdered against their will (especially after becoming pregnant with unwanted children). I'm not saying she wouldn't want Tam's children, but I'm not sure she intended that to happen (IF she got pregnant). Also she is not technically undead, but she still was violently murdered by Amarantha. As well as this her spirit is unclean because of the faeries she has killed. Most of the stories about Rusalki say that they haunt rivers/lakes/forests trying to lure men to their deaths. However they are not always malicious, and she is no longer dead, so she wouldn't haunt anywhere. Again, I think this could tie in with the High Lord Theory, as her other form could be a mermaid (Rusalka).

Elain/Persephone Theories
*FANGIRLING* Literally just read Sarah's newsletter, and it said and I quote "It’s super-hard for me to explain the significance of the title without spoiling anything". OMG!!!! I am now 110% sure that Feyre is a Fury!!!
Right, so onto my theories that the Persephone figure in ACOMAF is actually Elain. I'll try to explain this as well as I can.
WARNING there will be ACOTAR SPOILERS.
I think that Feyre being Persephone is just too damn obvious, and that it would be such a huge plot twist if it was actually Elain who is the Persephone figure. I mean, Just imagine how furious Feyre would be if Rhys abducted her sister! Also then Nesta would definitely get involved. Out of the three of them Elain comes across as the most delicate one of the three sisters. Also she never involved herself in anything to dirty, we see this when Feyre commented that it never even crossed her mind to help her with the meat.
Furthermore, Elain loves nature. Even when they were poor, whenever they had the money she would tend a flower garden. Then once they were wealth again, she created a proper garden sprawling with flowers, which solely she looked after (she wouldn't even allow the servants to help her). Also on Sarah's pinterest it is obvious that Elain is surrounded by nature:
https://www.pinterest.com/pin/2468536...
https://www.pinterest.com/pin/2468536...
Also Sarah posted this pic of Persephone
https://www.pinterest.com/pin/2468536...
and this pic of Elain
https://www.pinterest.com/pin/2468536...
Anyone else think they look really similar???
Also another thing that's interesting is that Elain's picture is of Blodeuwedd - The Welsh White Goddess of the Underworld. Blodeuwedd was also created from nature (flowers) and is often thought to represent the seasonal cycle. If you look into it Blodeuwedd's tale is a more modern twist on Persephone's. If that's not Sarah flat out telling us that Elain is Persephone, the I don't know what is!!!
Another interesting thing is that she has an owl on her shoulder, as Persephone can also be linked to owls. It is thought that Askalaphos reported to Pluto (Hades) that Persephone had eaten the pomegranate seeds, giving him the means to keep her with him. Due to this it is believed that either Demeter (Persephone's mother) or Persephone herself turned him into an owl for his betrayal. From then on he was known as Sorrow's Harbringer. There is also another picture on Sarah's pinterest page that shows a girl (who I believe cold be Elain/Persephone) in a dress which has owls on the skirt:
https://www.pinterest.com/pin/2468536...
Plus I think it was revealed that Nesta would be in the next book (I'm not certain), so we can't exactly leave out Elain.
Also another thought I just had, before Feyre went to prythian, she always looked after Elain, hunted for food, provided money, etc. If my theory about Feyre being a fury is correct, it would make sense as the furies are Hades and Persephone's servants. I mean Feyre has practically served Elain her whole life...
I'm not sure what anyone else thinks but I think it's definitely Elain who is the Persephone figure in ACOMAF.
