Here it says the book is 464 pages but I'm holding the book in my hand and to me it seems like it should read the book is 448 pages does anyone else notice this?

Joseph Naylor Check and make sure that you are using the same version/edition that Goodreads is. Sometimes different editions have different page numbering. You can change the edition on the book's page.

James I've noticed the same thing. One of the books on my list has notes that rival the length of the text. The notes, index and bibliography are generally included in the page count.

Andy The book has an epilogue, prologue, and lengthy bibliographic and editorial references.
